Dr. Deb Mauterer, DVM

Deb Mauterer was born in New Jersey and graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. She then completed a small animal internship at Kansas State University, and went on to Ohio State University where she completed a residency in Small Animal Surgery. After practicing in Columbus, Ohio at a private specialty hospital, she and her husband John started a Veterinary Referral Center in Mandeville, LA as well as Baton Rouge Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Deb enjoys working with students, and has taught Anatomy and Surgical Nursing at Delgado Community College. She has traveled to Cambodia, Costa Rica, India and Thailand on short term mission trips, and to Vietnam to teach Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Deb Mauterer also breeds and competes in conformation shows with her English Cocker Spaniels.
